Islamabad HQ HelplineHow to Pay Passport Fee Online in Pakistan
The Ministry of Interior has introduced digital payment options. You no longer need to stand in long bank queues. Learn how to generate your PSID and pay online.
Method 1: Passport Fee Asaan Mobile App
The Passport Fee Asaan app is the official mobile application launched by the Government of Pakistan. It helps citizens calculate fees and generate a Payment System Identifier (PSID) directly from their smartphones.
-
Download Official App
Download "Passport Fee Asaan" from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Avoid downloading APKs from unofficial websites.
-
Select 'Passport Payment'
Open the app, tap on "Passport Payment", and enter details like validity, booklet pages, and processing type (Normal/Urgent).
-
Generate 17-digit PSID
Input your CNIC and Name. The app will generate a unique 17-digit PSID code and send it to your phone via SMS.
Method 2: Pay PSID via Easypaisa, JazzCash, or ATM
Once you have your 17-digit PSID code, you can make the payment using online banking portals, local retail applications, or ATMs in Pakistan.
Steps for Easypaisa / JazzCash:
- Open your Easypaisa or JazzCash application.
- Go to Government Payments or search for GoPb (Government of Punjab/Pakistan) or 1Bill.
- Select the 1Bill Invoice/Challan option.
- Enter the prefix 100003 followed immediately by your 17-digit PSID (e.g., 100003XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX).
- Verify your details and tap Pay Now. Save the digital receipt!
Bring the printed payment receipt or show the SMS confirmation with the active PSID status when visiting the Regional Passport Office (RPO).
Understanding the Passport Processing Stages
When you submit your queries via official government tracking nodes, your application state will show one of the following progressive milestones:
-
Application Received & Data Entry
Biometrics, documents, and reference verification data have been processed by your local passport office and pushed to the central database.
-
Printing Booklet Stage
Your personalized data is printed. If you applied for a biometric e-passport, the electronic chip is configured and tested during this phase.
-
Dispatched Status
The passport has been sent from the centralized printing facility in Islamabad to your Regional Passport Office (RPO) or consulate. It is ready for collection.
Embassies & Global Consulates Tracking
Overseas Pakistanis (residing in the UK, UAE, USA, Italy, Saudi Arabia, etc.) can track passport status using similar methods. If you applied at an embassy, your 11-digit token is the key.
⚠️ Important Note for Overseas Applicants:
Because physical passport booklets are printed centrally in Islamabad and shipped via diplomatic mail, tracking status might show "Dispatched" while the booklet is in transit. Contact your respective embassy or consulate (e.g., London High Commission, Consulate Milan/Rome, Riyadh Embassy) directly if your passport does not arrive within 20 working days.
